Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Big Dill Media when you join the membership, buy a course or use this site.

Draft for review. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet. Highlighted text marks details Big Dill Media still needs to confirm.

1. Who we are

This site is run by 1001750990 Ontario Inc., operating as Big Dill Media (“Big Dill Media”, “we”, “us”), an Ontario corporation based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. You can reach us at support@bigdillmedia.com or by mail at 3200 William Coltson Avenue, Oakville, ON L6H 7W6.

By paying for a membership or course, creating an account, or using the member area, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Your account

3. Membership, billing and renewal

A membership gives you access to the community chat, weekly live calls, courses and other member content while it is active. What's included can change over time as we add, update or retire content, but we won't take away a core part of the membership in the middle of a period you've already paid for without offering you a pro-rated refund.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.

4. Single courses

Some courses can be bought on their own without a membership. A one-off course purchase gives you personal access to that course for as long as we offer it on this site. If we ever stop offering a course you bought, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to finish it first.

5. Live calls and recordings

Weekly calls happen live on this site. Calls are recorded and the recordings are shared with members as replays. Members join with their microphone off; if you'd rather not appear in a replay, keep your camera and microphone off. Please don't record, screenshot or share other members during calls without their permission.

6. Community rules

The community works because people are generous and respectful. When you post, please don't:

Our team can remove posts, mute members or suspend accounts that break these rules. For serious or repeated breaches we may end your membership; where we do, we won't refund the current period.

7. Content and intellectual property

Courses, call recordings, templates, worksheets and other materials we provide belong to Big Dill Media or our licensors. While you have access, you may use them for your own business and learning. You may not copy, resell, republish, share or download them for anyone else, or use them to build a competing course or program.

You keep ownership of what you post in the community. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display it to other members so the community can work. If you share your work for feedback, we won't use it outside the membership (for example, in marketing) without asking you first.

8. No guaranteed results

We share what has worked for us and our clients, but every business is different. We don't promise any particular number of followers, sales, income or other outcome. Nothing in the membership is legal, tax or financial advice.

9. Site availability

We work to keep the site running smoothly, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems with the services we rely on. We're not responsible for interruptions outside our reasonable control.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, the site and membership are provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to them is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived, including under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act.

11. Ending your account

You can cancel your membership at any time as described above. To close your account and have your personal information deleted, email us; see our Privacy Policy for what we keep and why.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects you, we'll email members at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the membership after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in another province, state or country, you keep any consumer protections that the laws where you live give you.
